Killard Celebrates 25 years of Speech & Language
On Friday 1st February Killard hosted a Celebration Day to mark 25 years of Speech & Language provision in school. We had lots of very important guests who attended including Lord Leiutenant of Co. Down, Lady Herman and the Mayor of Newtownards. We had past and present Principals, teaching staff, pupils and parents. Mr. Millar led the Celebrations by welcoming everyone and speaking about the excellent work that Speech & Language staff have done for our pupils in Killard. Our current pupils from the Speech & Language units and the Secondary Department performed a range of songs. We listened to a number of guest speakers who all spoke so highly of the tremendous success that Killard's Speech & Language units have had over the last 25 years. A beautiful cake was cut at the end of the Celebrations to mark this monumentous event.
